Personal CareMexican brands of shaving creams, razors and toothpaste are almost identical to American, including names. You will get much better prices on them in supermarkets than in Hotel Zone shops. Shampoos are erratic. Rather surprisingly, some of the more obscure brands are much better than the familiar well-advertised names. The best place to buy shampoo is the pharmacy. Pure cane alcoholManufactured under various labels. Look for red label, which is ethyl alcohol made from sugar cane. If marked potable, this is supposedly drinkable and some Mexican recipes call for it. We use it as a mosquito-bite itch reliever and general after-bath freshener. Scent varies from brand to brand and bottle to bottle, but can be really nice. Blue label is denatured and doesn't smell as good.
