Insect Repellents
Autan
Available in spray and squeeze bottles, this repellent works extremely
well and doesn't smell too bad. Use on cuffs and socks and exposed
skin.
Hunter
Sold in import stores, these incense-style coils are made in Taiwan.
Gently break a single coil out and place on the small metal holder
that you'll find in the box and light, then blow out. The pleasant-smelling
smoke will drive mosquitoes and other small biting insects out of
any enclosed area. Ask for "killer" -- KIH-ler. Don't buy commercial
imitations, which contain strong insecticides with an annoying chemical
smell.
Radiolitos
Same as above but made by Raid, available in Wal-Mart and other
supermarkets.
