AlcoholMexican alcoholic beverages are top-notch. You'll find the best prices in supermarkets, where you'll also find the best selection of domestic wines. La Comercial Mexicana on Av. Tulum and San Francisco de Asis, Hotel Zone, have the best selection of foreign and domestic wines. We find Mexican wines to be a bit on the acid side. The white wines are distinctly better than the red, but all are drinkable. Imported French and Spanish wines are expensive and name-brand whiskeys and brandies are often quite rich in price. L. A. Cetto is the most reliable Mexican wine for the price we've tried so far. A nice bottle is under $6. We especially liked their Blanc de Blanc white and Zinfandel red. Super Gourmet DeliHotel Zone, Plaza Kukulcán, The Forum. Ample wine selectionPrices here are rather high, but they have a very wide selection of domestic and imported wines.
